Rod Legge

Rodney Legge offers services in both the engineering and organizational development fields.

Rod's consultancy has provided engineering services and solutions to a number of high profile manufacturing and research companies in Australia including Holden, Ford (Aust), Nissan, ION Automotive, Pacifica, CSIRO, University of Queensland and CAST. He has also provided organizational development, recruitment and assessment services to clients such as Rio Tinto, Telstra, National Australia and ANZ banks, Optus, Australia Post and Coles Myer.

Prior to moving into the consulting arena Rod worked as Principal - Organizational Development for Rio Tinto in Melbourne where he was responsible for internal training and graduate recruitment.

Rod's initial training was in the engineering field where he worked for a number of resource and manufacturing companies in a range of technical and management positions. He ran both research and production facilities in Australia, the United Kingdom and North America where he worked with senior technical and management staff from most of the major automotive companies including Ford, GM, Jaguar, Peugeot, Nissan and Subaru.

Rod is the author of a number of technical papers and international patents and is a member of several engineering societies and technical groups. He owns a small bronze casting business, producing sculpture for the Australian art market, and he has an interest in the Strawbale Gallery in Woodend.

Rod received his undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne studying Metallurgy and postgraduate training at the University of Adelaide (Applied Science) and the University of NSW (Australian Graduate School of Management).

His personal interests include sporting endeavours in squash and lawn bowls, flying (he holds a private pilots license), ballet (vicariously through his daughter at the New Zealand Ballet School), artwork, and op shops (searching for that mint condition copy of Bob Dylan's 'Blood on the Tracks' for one dollar).
